Whether or not you thought this was going to be about the comic, I'll tell you right now that it isn't, really, but rather about ME. I started drawing comics as a way around the "bring writings" requirement for a writing club when I was twelve (loophole didn't last long.) I count myself as influenced by Herge, Colleen Doran, Wendy Pini, Enki Bilal, and my art teacher, Katharine "kick-ass" Schmidt, whose book you should definately buy.
I was sucessfully homeschooled, and am currently attending Seattle Central Community College's Graphic Design program, in pursuit of the highest quality A.A.S. degree. I look forward to a career in illustration and comics, and maybe typography if I learn all the rules.
I love fried egg sandwiches, novelty music, foreign languages, morbid notions, run on sentences, typewriters, shovels, tuxedos, apostrophes, Old-time radio as hosted by Stan Freberg, the movie "Invasion of the Vampires" [Mexico, 1962], and will listen to nearly any kind of music you throw at me. My room has a dirt floor. I disapprove of public spitting. I love my job and can draw almost anything if there's time enough to practice. My favorite outdoor chore is digging. I can't speak Spanish OR Danish. I have a small but bizarre collection of hats. I love it when you write to me.

Character or Portrait (Traditional media only):
One character sketch $10.00. Plus simple backround $12.00.
Basic inking (fancy lineart, black ink. For one color ink plus $1) $20.00. Plus appropriate backround $25.00.
Fancy inking (Shaded, black ink. For one color ink plus $1) $35.00. Plus appropriate backround $40.00.
Any of the above in color (Watercolor, ink, color pencil, collage) plus $10.00, plus expenses, if any.
Additional characters $10.00 each, regardless of intricacy or medium.
Comics:
One page comic on any subject, to your specifications (original story and character, or family member's biography or personal anecdote, anything at all, really), simple inking, hand lettering: $25.00.
Full length or long-term webcomics: You'd better email me. Serious inquiries only.
Other services:
Indoor murals, wedding/party invitations, small-time posters, indoor or outdoor hand painted signage, hand-painted t-shirts, personal greeting cards. Email for estimates.
Process:
I will prepare a short letter detailing the order, and there will be two or three scans emailed at intervals to you for your approval. Be sure to tell me right out if something's turning out wrong, complete do-overs are charged as additional commissions. Finished pieces will be carefully mailed to you via your favorite delivery service, or, if feasible, delivered by hand over a delicous cup of horchata.
All materials produced will remain copyrighted and credited to me unless declared otherwise in the contract.
